Anti-racism scholar’s career “ruined” by pro-Israel lobby

Sept. 1, 2025 - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with his American counterpart Marco Rubio to discuss plans for a complete annexation of the occupied West Bank, Walla reported. 

According to the Israeli news outlet, Saar hinted that his government is quietly heading towards "applying sovereignty" over the Palestinian territory in the coming months.

As Israeli students return to classrooms, Gaza's schools lie in ruins

Sept. 1, 2025 - On Monday, 2.58 million Israeli students returned to their classrooms to begin the new school year. Of these, 180,600 are starting first grade, while 149,000 are entering twelfth grade, their final year of school.

In Gaza, meanwhile, the education system has been largely levelled by two years of Israeli bombardment.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) warned that over 660,000 children in Gaza are being deprived of schooling for a third consecutive year amid Israel’s genocide in the territory.

Sept. 1, 2025 - A New York Times investigation into the Israeli strikes on Nasser Hospital last week that killed at least 20 people, including two Middle East Eye journalists, casts doubt on Israel’s rationale for the attacks.

“An analysis of video evidence and footage from the scene raises questions about what they [Israel] were targeting to begin with and why they launched a second attack that killed first responders and more journalists,” The New York Times said in a video published on Sunday.

Aug. 31, 2025 - A global fleet of boats is preparing to set sail for Gaza as part of an international maritime initiative aimed at delivering humanitarian aid to starving people in Gaza.

The first convoy, consisting of dozens of small civilian vessels carrying activists, humanitarians, doctors, seafarers, and humanitarian supplies, is scheduled to depart from Spanish ports on August 31, to meet up in Tunisia with a second wave on September 4.
