- Israel’s genocide in Gaza has been facilitated through “direct support, material aid, diplomatic protection and, in some cases, active participation” by its allies, a report by UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese says.
- The bodies of 54 unidentified Palestinians – returned to Gaza by Israel with some showing signs of torture and execution – are buried at a mass grave site in central Deir el-Balah.
- The International Court of Justice rules Israel has an obligation as the occupying power to allow basic necessities into war-ravaged Gaza, saying it’s using “starvation as a method of warfare”.
- Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,234 people and wounded 170,373 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 attacks and about 200 were taken captive.
