- The Israeli army has launched raids and intensive artillery shelling while carrying out demolitions in southern Gaza, our colleagues on the ground report.
- Hamas has recovered and handed over the body of an Israeli captive. Israel confirmed the delivery but has not yet verified the identity.
- Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tells Al Jazeera that the United Nations is facing more difficulties distributing supplies this time, compared with the last ceasefire.
- Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,858 people and wounded 170,664 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 Hamas-led attacks, and about 200 were taken captive.
