- Eastern and northeastern parts of Gaza’s southern city of Khan Younis have come under Israeli attack by artillery shelling, gunfire and a helicopter gunship, despite the October 10 ceasefire, according to our colleagues on the ground.

- Israel’s military budget for next year has been set at 112 billion shekels ($34bn), the defence minister’s office says, up from 90 billion shekels ($27bn) budgeted in an earlier draft.
- Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed at least 70,125 Palestinians and wounded 171,015 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 attacks and about 200 were taken captive.
